On November 8, 2011, the district has a 2.25 mill bond issue on the ballot (Issue #8). If passed the bond will raise $32 million and be paid for over 32 years. A homeowner of a house valued at $100,000 will pay $38.29 per year or $3.19 per month. In previous debt structures, the district has built in a drop of 1 mil for 2014-15. By moving the drop up to 2012, a homeowner will only be assessed 1.25 mils instead of the 2.25. Therefore, this is a partial no new tax rate bond issue. Heritage South, North and most significantly Avon Middle School are at or nearing capacity and the district is projecting continuing growth; therefore, it is important to continue to plan for the future to adequately house the student population in terms of facilities. The District will continue to strive to provide excellence in education by continuing to improve academics, manage the growth, be fiscally responsible, and only ask for monies when needed. Thank you for your continued support! GO EAGLES! |

Since 2006, enrollment increased 1057 students (approx. size of the High School).
